When we look at successful professionals, it’s easy to assume they always knew exactly what they wanted to do. The reality is often very different.
Many people changed directions. Many discovered opportunities they never expected. Many found mentors who encouraged them. Many learned through trial and error. And almost all of them continued learning along the way.
Last week, while attending an investiture event to celebrate a new judge in Chesapeake, Virginia, I had the opportunity to meet Sydney Hardy, a first-year attorney with a fascinating journey. Sidney attended a STEM-focused high school and has built expertise in cybersecurity, a growing field that is part of the 3S Workforce™.
Her story is a reminder that career journeys are rarely straight lines. They are shaped by learning, experiences, relationships, and opportunities along the way. LISTEN HERE
