WEEKLY MESSAGE

Careers That Keep the World Moving

Weekly Message. STEM, Supply Chain, Skilled Trades

Welcome to October!

By now, you’re probably settling into the flow of school, college, training, work, or whatever this season looks like for you. Hopefully, you’re finding your rhythm and getting more comfortable with your routine.

So, this month, I want to invite you to look beyond your routine and start noticing the world of work happening all around you.

Think about everything you’ve already used today.

Your phone. Electricity. Transportation. Food. Medicine. The internet.

None of it just appeared.

Behind the things we use every day are people who design them, make them, move them, install them, maintain them, improve them, and keep them working.

At WIN-NextGen™, we call this world of opportunity the 3S Workforce™:

STEM • SUPPLY CHAIN • SKILLED TRADES.

And these three areas are more connected than you might think.

The phone in your hand required scientists, engineers, technicians, manufacturers, logistics professionals, skilled tradespeople, technology specialists, and many others before it ever reached you.

The same is true for the food you eat, the buildings you enter, the transportation you use, and the healthcare you receive.

Careers are everywhere when you start looking for them. Check out some interesting trends HERE.

This Week’s Challenge

Choose THREE things you use or depend on every day.

For each one, ask:

  • Who helped design or improve it?
  • Who helped make or move it?
  • Who helps keep it working?

You might be surprised by how many careers you discover.

Key Takeaway

The world doesn’t move on its own. People make it happen. And someday, you could be one of them.

Here’s to a month of discovering possibilities all around you. Let’s go!
