Web Design Internship – Role Overview

As a Web Design & Digital Design Intern, you will play a key role in helping to create, design, and maintain dynamic websites and user interfaces. This internship offers hands-on experience in both the technical and creative aspects of web development, providing a solid foundation in front-end design, functionality testing, and user experience optimization.

Interns will collaborate with developers, designers, and content teams to bring client visions to life—whether it’s an eCommerce platform, portfolio website, blog, or interactive web application. You’ll help ensure each site is not only visually engaging but also technically efficient and responsive across devices and browsers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and maintaining websites, ensuring functionality, usability, and visual consistency
  • Support front-end development tasks such as coding responsive layouts and integrating interactive components
  • Help create user-friendly web interfaces using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Test website performance and troubleshoot bugs across different browsers and devices
  • Participate in content creation and updates using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
  • Collaborate on design revisions to meet accessibility, SEO, and cross-platform compatibility standards
  • Contribute to internal design systems and reusable web components
  • Assist in usability testing, wireframing, and implementing client or stakeholder feedback
