WIN–NextGen™ and Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, Inc. Join Forces to Bridge the Opportunity Divide for Vulnerable Youth and Adults
LANHAM, MD | NEW YORK, NY – WIN-NextGen™, a national nonprofit preparing youth and young adults ages 13 -24 for high-growth careers, and Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, Inc. (NCS), a leading New York City-based nonprofit focused on community stabilization and economic mobility, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch a powerful workforce development collaboration.
Together, the organizations will deploy technology-enabled tools, mentorship, and training opportunities to expand access to education and career pathways for individuals engaged in NCS’s supportive housing and vocational programs.
The partnership will begin with pilot programming within NCS sites, combining WIN-NextGen’s innovative GT3S™ Platform, focused on the 3S Workforce™ (STEM, Supply Chain, and Skilled Trades), with NCS’s existing OPTIONS program and other workforce efforts.
“This collaboration will potentially strengthen our ability to connect clients to meaningful employment and education opportunities,” said Robert Yancey, Chief Program Officer at NCS. “By embedding WIN–NextGen™’s cutting-edge platform into our workforce initiatives, we will be creating more tailored, tech-forward pathways for those we serve.”
The MOU outlines shared goals around digital literacy, AI readiness, capacity-building, and outcome measurement. NCS clients will gain access to WIN–NextGen’s modular learning system, industry exposure, and the chance to earn “NextGen Support Fellowships” through sponsored enrichment programs.
WIN-NextGen™ will co-locate tools and support models, including virtual career navigators, within NCS’s residential and community sites. The organizations will also pursue joint funding to support digital infrastructure, data systems, and scalable implementation.
“This is workforce transformation rooted in humanity and systems thinking,” said Elisa Basnight, Founder & CEO of WIN–NextGen™. “Together with NCS, we are building new bridges, between housing and career, between community care and economic opportunity, to help individuals thrive in the AI era and beyond.”
This partnership reflects both organizations’ long-term vision: to advance equitable access to the future of work by meeting people where they are and lifting them toward where they want to go.
