Full-Time Housekeeper

Field Guide Lodging

We’re looking for a full-time housekeeper to join our team as the caring hands behind our 4-cabin property in Coram, MT. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on tasks, works well independently, and takes pride in creating welcoming spaces for guests. While housekeeping is the core responsibility, there’s opportunity to take on additional property caretaking, groundswork, organizing, and light maintenance based on your skillset.

What You’ll Do:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms between stays, making sure cabins are clean, welcoming, and guest-ready before check-in
  • Restock amenities and supplies so guests have everything they need
  • Manage laundry—washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens
  • Keep the property and common spaces tidy and organized, and assist with some basic hot tub upkeep between service appointments
  • Assist with seasonal groundskeeping, such as gardening and clearing snow from entryways, as needed
  • Handle minor maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs, tightening hardware, and other small fixes
  • Communicate warmly and helpfully with our team and, as needed, guests and vendors: Respond promptly to requests, interact with others in a positive, helpful manner, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor representing the cabins.
  • Tackle additional projects and tasks as they arise

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Reliability above all: We need someone we can count on to show up consistently
  • Self-motivated and independent: Works well with minimal supervision and takes initiative to keep the property in excellent condition
  • Meticulous attention to detail: Takes pride in thorough, high-quality work and notices the small things that make a big difference
  • Professional communication skills: Represents our property with warmth and diplomacy when interacting with our team, guests, and tradespeople
  • Physical stamina: Comfortable with the physical demands of housekeeping, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the day
  • *We maintain a substance-free, family-friendly workplace in accordance with company policy.

What We Offer:

  • Pay: $24/hour
  • Benefits: 401(k) matching and paid time off
  • Tools and equipment provided
  • Independent but supportive environment: We’re a small, tight-knit team–you’ll interact with us over Slack daily, with some in-person time.

Schedule:

  • Two consecutive days off per week (open to discussion, but ideally mid-week).
  • On working days, cabin turnovers are completed between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with earlier arrival for setting up for the day’s turns and starting on cabins with early check-outs, and later departure to finish up property checks, laundry, and more.
  • A note on seasonality: Summer months are our busiest time, with back-to-back guest turnover requiring full-time housekeeping focus. During the quieter season (November-April/May), we’re open to shifting some hours towards broader caretaking projects (like maintenance, cabin improvements, and other projects), or reducing hours to match the slower pace–we’re happy to discuss what works best.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation for commuting and occasional errands (mileage reimbursed).
  • Must pass a background check as a condition of employment.

To Apply:

Please tell us about yourself—what draws you to this role, your working style, and any relevant experience (doesn’t have to be formal). We value character and reliability above all.

All candidates will be subject to a background check prior to employment.
